Advertising and Sponsorship Policy

Our commitment

We want brands, audiences and creators to be able to trust what we publish. This policy explains how we handle advertising, sponsorships and brand partnerships.

Clear disclosure

Any content that has been paid for, sponsored, or made in partnership with a brand is clearly marked as such, in line with the advertising and endorsement guidelines that apply in India, including those of the Advertising Standards Council of India and the Central Consumer Protection Authority. We do not present an advertisement as independent opinion.

Honest claims

We only make claims about a product or service that we have been given a fair basis to make. We do not publish false, misleading or exaggerated claims, and we ask brands to share the proof for the claims they want made.

Independence of our own content

Our comedy and satire stay independent. A sponsorship pays for a message in a clearly marked place. It does not buy the right to decide what our team makes or says elsewhere, and it does not buy a particular opinion.

What we will not take on

We will decline work that is unlawful, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that targets children with products that are not suitable for them. We may also decline work that does not fit our audience or our standards.

Working together

Briefs, deliverables, timelines, prices and approvals are agreed in writing before work begins. We share drafts for approval where we have agreed to, and we do not promise specific views, sales or follower numbers, because these depend on factors outside our control.

Creators and endorsements

Creators who work with us are asked to use their genuine experience, to disclose the partnership every time, and to follow the same standards described here.
